Extended Information/Photos: Vashon Island is located in the Puget Sound, a thirty-five minute ferry ride from downtown Seattle, Washington. The Monastery is under the omophore of Bishop KYRILL of San Francisco, of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia. The monks make their living by selling excellent coffee and tea.
